Indian equity benchmark indices concluded Tuesday's trading session on a firm note, buoyed by consistent buying across heavyweight counters. The BSE Sensex rose by 286.98 points or 0.37% to close at 77,656.09, while the NSE Nifty 50 gained 115.50 points or 0.48% to settle at 24,334.55.

Sectorally, broad-based strength was visible across Auto, Banking, and IT counters, which spearheaded the day's advance. Top index gainers included frontline names such as Tata Motors, ICICI Bank, and Infosys. Conversely, the FMCG and Media indices faced mild profit booking, with ITC and Nestle India emerging among the key laggards. The broader market participated actively, with the Midcap and Smallcap indices slightly outpacing headline gauges.

On the macroeconomic front, market sentiment was supported by easing global crude oil benchmarks and stable Asian cues. The Indian Rupee traded in a narrow band against the US Dollar. Meanwhile, robust participation by Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) continued to absorb selective Foreign Institutional Investor (FII) profit booking, keeping domestic undertones constructive.
